John Pickett Spackman

Guardsman John Pickett Spackman, d. 01 June 1918.

As he did not live or work in Wootton Bassett at all I will not be laying a wreath for him in 2018.

John Pickett Spackman was born in about 1888, the son of Henry James and Thirza. They lived at Cross Roads, in the parish of Tockenham.

John served as a Guardsman in the 4th Grenadier Guards (26635). There is an absent voter record for John Spackman of Cross Roads in 1918.

John was killed in action in France.

John is buried in the Anzac Cemetery at Sailly sur la Lys.
